Unconfidence Vaginal Odours

Nov 26

It’s easy to keep your vagina clean without smelling like a florist. When the vagina is clean, it secretes a clear white discharge and washing the outside of the vagina with mild, fragrant soap and water can help prevent odour, However, vaginal discharge and bacteria can build up in the vaginal area if not washed regularly, which can worsen the odour over time.

How to Keep your Vagina Clean

The following article will give you a few hints on how to keep your vagina clean and fresh with smelling like a florist shop.

Step 1: Take a shower or soak in a bath with mild soap and warm water. You can also take a wet washcloth, use it to wipe the outside of your vagina from front to back, after urinating or having a bowel movement.

Step 2: Make sure you dry the outside of your vagina thoroughly, including between the labia folds. You can use toilet paper to do this, but it’s best to just pat yourself with a towel because if you wipe too hard your vagina may become irritated. Try not to use a hair dryer or other hot air blower to dry between your labia.

Step 3: Be sure to wear a clean pair of underwear made from cotton and use a sanitary napkin during menstruation periods if you have very heavy vaginal bleeding.

Step 4: Use unscented, mild soap on the outside of your vagina every day to prevent odour. Or you can use your favourite unscented hypoallergenic vaginal cleanser or wipes that are used by women who have problems with vaginal odours, itching and irritation.

Step 5: If you notice an increase in vaginal discharge, odor or itching, see your doctor.

Vaginal Odour is Normal

Vaginal odour is the odour released by your vagina or vaginal discharge. It’s natural and normal for your vagina to have some sort of smell, but certain vaginal odours can signal that something is wrong. If you notice a change in your vaginal odour, it’s important to see your doctor so that problems can be diagnosed and treated.

If there is an abnormal smell coming from the vagina, such as a fishy odour combined with vaginal itching and/or irritation of the skin around the vagina, it may indicate bacterial overgrowth, which can be treated with an antibiotic. A yeast infection, another common vaginal infection, may cause a yeasty odour and itching of the vagina. Unprotected sex or using irritating soaps or sprays in or around the vaginal area may also lead to irritation and infections that contribute to vaginal odours. If you notice an unpleasant scent coming from your vagina, see your doctor or gynecologist.
